How is it that certain people appear (sometimes out of nowhere) at certain key moments in our lives?
Is it because that, in our need for solace, we look in the right places?
Or perhaps it is the kind, gentle ones – in their need to help – somehow find us?
Thank you Virtual Hospice for providing a venue so that hearts, minds and spirits can co-mingle in gentle, loving-kindness.
A Gentle Meditation
Since time immemorial, philosophers have pondered the nature of humankind.
Some say that we possess mind, body and spirit.
This spirit, some call soul, others call light.
Our rational minds see and accept the light of a fire, or the glow of a faraway star.
Yet some fail to see the light that shines within each and every one of us.
Wisdom comes when we recognize the light that shines within others.
Purpose appears when we find that light within ourselves.
Each of us is like a small light in this vast universe.
Being fully human means that we will use our light to reach out to others in times of darkness.
For no matter how dark the night, two lights will brighten the path much better than one.
