Dying with no support

I cared for family until the end.  Now I am diagnosed out of the blue with end stage NASH, but I am lean, and have lived a healthy life - no drinking, smoking bad foods or drugs.  How to I manage my prognosis with a diagnosis of a disease like this?  My only support is my dog.

Hi YanCAT - thank you for sharing what you are going through. I can imagine this may be a difficult time for you. Happy to hear that you have the companionship and support of your dog! There are often programs within hospitals or clinics that can connect patients with social or supportive services that might be helpful. to you There may be support groups or volunteer visiter programs you can connect with this, that may provide you a safe space to express how you are feeling and what you are going through. If there is a social worker available to you through the health care team involved in your care, consider connecting with them about this.

It is natural to seek support when going through a difficult time. I hope you are able to connect with others and feel supported.

Regards,
