Draft Model for Volunteer Best Practices

File
Description

The Task Group on Volunteer Best Practices and Quality was formed in 2002 by Health Canada, as part of the development of a Canadian strategy on palliative and end-of-life care. The Task Group's major objective is to create a companion document to the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association's Model to Guide Hospice Palliative Care: Based on National Principles and Norms of Practice. The Volunteer Model will offer volunteers and the volunteer component a consensus-based Canadian guide to clinical, educational and organizational practice. The Task Group process is consultative and consensual, and you are invited to become involved at whatever level you can. Task Group documents will be posted on the Canadian Virtual Hospice site for easy access. For further information please e-mail to taskgroupinukshuk@shaw.ca or contact Task Group Chair Jerry Rothstein at 250.818.3188 (tel.) or 250.370.8625 (fax).
