HAO member hospices have developed sophisticated policies and procedures. Key policies and procedures were developed and reviewed by HAO members. A final draft review occurred at HAO’s 2001 Conference. The policies were developed based on the quality dimensions addressed in the HAO Client Service Standards for the Volunteer Hospice Visiting Service adopted in 1999.
