Mahoganie is a Clinical Nurse Specialist at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton and professor for Georgian College, with extensive experience as an educator and palliative care consultant. She has volunteered with the RNAO and CPCNA, holding various leadership roles including the role of President. She has a Master's degree in Bioethics and has contributed to various RNAO Best Practice Guidelines. A corner stone of her practice is advocating for equity and accessibility in palliative care for all those who would benefit from it. She has received several awards for her work. Outside work, she referees for the Niagara Roller Derby League.
