Rather than hosting an annual national conference, in the alternate years coinciding with the International Palliative Care Congress in Montreal, the CHPCA plans to offer a national 'Learning Institute' with a program of intermediate to advanced level workshops facilitated by a faculty of experts.
The 2012 program will focus on five main learning streams:
1) Advocacy, Leadership and Organizational Development
2) Inter-professional Education and Practice
3) Awareness, Information, Social Media and Advance Care Planning
4a) Clinical Practice – Pain and Symptom Management
4b) Clinical Practice – General
