This annual provincial conference is designed with plenary lectures, breakout workshops/oral presentations and networking opportunities for all interdisciplinary team members including volunteers. Keynote speakers include: the Honorable Sharon Carstairs, to speak on "The State of Palliative Care in Canada”; Sharon Baxter, Executive Director of the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association to speak on “Advocating for Hospice Palliative Care Nationally – the Past, the Present, and what the Future Holds…Will We be Surprised?"; and Dr. Brian Goldman, an Emergency Physician at Toronto's Mount Sinai Hospital, and the host of the CBC Radio One Show - White Coat, Black Art, to speak on "Tough Talk about End-of-Life Care". In addition we will have over 40 concurrent sessions, Oral Paper and Poster presentations, and Exhibit Showcase, Networking opportunities and much more.
